Australian Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) System explained

An ETA is an electronically stored authority for travel to Australia which replaces the
traditional visa label / stamp in a passport. It can be viewed and checked by all airline and
cruise operators around the world through an electronic travel reservation system.

When you arrive to check in, the airlines and cruise operators can check your visa by
accessing the Government's electronic visa database.

AustralianETAvisas.com has authorised access to the Australian Government's electronic visa
system and can arrange an electronic holiday or business visa for you. We will send you a
comprehensive email that confirms that your visa has been issued and all other relevant
details (dates of validity, conditions etc). Remember that the holder of an ETA does not
have a visa label placed in their passport.

When you arrive to check in, the airlines and cruise operators can check your visa by
accessing the electronic visa system and confirming the visa through your passport number.

    ETA Visas and Eligibility
All visitors to Australian except for Australian and New Zealand citizens require a visa to enter
Australia. This includes children listed in the passports of their parents who must have an
individual visa issued, using the passport details of the parent.

ETA's are available to people holding valid passports from the following countries:

Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Brunei, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece,
Hong Kong, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta,
Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, Singapore, Spain, South Korea, United
    Kingdom, USA and The Vatican.

If you are not the citizen of one of these countries, we can not issue you an ETA. You will
have to apply at your nearest Australian Diplomatic Mission.

    The tourist ETA visa...
The Tourist ETA Visa is valid for 12 months from date of issue for multiple entries of up to
three months per entry. You are not permitted to work in Australia with this visa. If you
intend to stay for longer than 3 months (even just 1 day), then you should apply for a long
stay visa at your nearest Australian Diplomatic Mission, or extend your visa at a Department
    of Immigration office in Australia.

    The total cost of the ETA is A$25 (US$20, £12, Can$22, 14).

    The Business ETA Visa...
ETA Business Visas are designed for business people visiting Australia for conferences, visiting
subsidiaries, investigating markets or conducting business. They do not permit the holder to
work and can not be extended. (For a work visa, or if you wish to stay longer than 3
months on any one stay, you must contact the nearest Australian Diplomatic Mission.)

There are two kinds of ETA Business Visa. The first is valid from the date of issue for the life
of the passport. It allows multiple entries into Australia for stays up to 3 months. The
Australian Government charges a A$70 fee for this visa (in addition to our fee) which is
charged to your credit card when we process your visa application. The other business visa
is valid for one year, allows multiple entry with a maximum 3 month stay. The Australian
Government charges no fee for this.

    The total cost of the ETA is A$25 (US$20, £12, Can$22, 14).
